Walk through one of the finest tree collections in the world set in a spectacular heritage landscape and enjoy a one-night stay, including dinner and a cooked breakfast, at our stylish 17th-century coaching inn just a short drive away.

Admire a treasure trove of rare tree specimens from around the world at the Westonbirt Arboretum. Laid out in the heyday of Victorian plant collecting and now managed by the Forestry Commission, the arboretum has 15,000 evergreen and deciduous trees of more than 3,000 varieties all laid out in a parkland setting covering 600 acres.

Highlights include 145 champion trees (the largest or tallest in Britain and Ireland according to the Tree Register of the British Isles), 99 Red Listed rare and endangered trees, and five national plant collections – for Japanese maple cultivars, maple species, bladdernut, lime species and the walnut family. There are 17 miles of paths to explore, and the Forestry Commission has carefully planned many of the trails with the seasons in mind so there is something of interest to see no matter what time of year you visit.
